Work Placements
Tante Marie students come from all over the world and we can accept international students on all of our courses.
International students from outside the EU may require a Tier 4 General Student Visa or a Short-Term Study Visa. UK Home Office regulations often mean international students cannot work during or after their course. However, international students attending Tante Marie Culinary Academy are able to complete a work placement in the award-winning Restaurant at Tante Marie as part of their course.
Students attending the 2 term Intensive Cordon Bleu Diploma can complete a 2 month work placement and students attending the 3 term Cordon Bleu Diploma can complete a 3 month work placement. Students wishing to complete work placements must advise Tante Marie at the point of enrolment onto the course.
All students wishing to complete a work placement must apply for a Tier 4 General Student Visa due to the total course duration being over 6 months.
Student Visa Information
Tante Marie Limited is rated by the Home Office as a Tier 4 Sponsor.

Due to Home Office requirements, students wishing to attend Tante Marie who require a visa to study in the UK are required to pay the full course fees prior to a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies being issued. If the visa is subsequently refused, a full refund will be offered.
Students from outside the European Union will probably require a visa to study in the UK. (To check if you need a visa, visit the Home Office website). All students requiring a Tier 4 Student Visa are required to complete the Level 4 Diploma in Professional Culinary Arts qualification as part of the Cordon Bleu or Intensive Cordon Bleu Diploma course.
Further information on student visas is available on the Home Office website.
